ABOUT KARYN

About Karyn Dallas

Karyn’s reputation in junior coaching precedes her.

Karyn is one of Scotland’s leading coaches.

At the age of 22 she was playing on the European Tour before joining Gleneagles, becoming the teaching co-ordinator and qualifying as Scotland’s PGA assistant of the year in 1994 with the highest grade in Scotland and the 4th highest in Europe. She also spent time commentating for Sky Sports as the first female golf commentator and made the top selling video “Winning Ways for Women Golfers”.

For the last 19 years Karyn has been the club professional at Kirriemuir Golf Club where she has coached 7 national champions in the past decade – a feat unmatched by any other club in Britain and an amazing achievement for a small town in Angus.

In 1999 Karyn accepted an invitation to become Scotland’s National Ladies Coach.  Over the next five year Karyn would oversee the most successful period in Scottish Ladies Golf.  On her final year the Scottish Girls Team won the Home Internationals by the highest margin in the competitions history. Half that year’s Curtis Cup team would be junior Scottish golfers.  Five of the eight girls in Karyn’s first Girls team would go on to play on the Ladies European Tour, another feat unmatched anywhere in the world to this day.

Karyn’s reputation in junior coaching precedes her. The PGA use Karyn to train volunteers as Level One coaches and these coaches deliver golf to juniors all over Scotland and she has recently joined Scottish Golf Limited, as a Performance Academy Coach.
