This date sees the start of the golfing season for 2010, after what has been a long hard winter. The Gents President v Captain, and Ladies Captain v Vice Captain takes place on the 3rd April with a shotgun start at 9.15am. Names for the opening match should be entered on the sheet on the respective notice boards. The draw for this event will be uploaded onto the website, within the fixtures section, when completed.

Members are reminded that the entry sheets for the match play competitions are now on the notice boards within the clubhouse, with the closing date for entry being 31st march 2010.

A new signing in procedure for competitions is being introduced this season. Instead of entering your name on the sheet within the pro shop you will simply be required to indicate to the member of staff on duty in the pro shop that you wish to enter the competition, (and pay the apppropriate amount) and they will enter your name directly into the computer. This change will be of real benefit in the administration of the competitions.

For the new season members should also note that due to an R & A Rule change a free lift and drop is no longer allowed from any sand or seeded divot. This applys to all competition golf.
